I hope this email finds you well and also anxious to hear about the proposed Zoning Code revisions the Village has been working on for the last year and then some. The Zoning Code Working Group completed their work and the final draft amendments to the Zoning Code and Zoning Map are being presented to the Planning Commission on Monday, August 27th.
Here are the facts:

The Zoning Code proposed amendments are being presented to the Planning Commission in draft form at this meeting. Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at the beginning of this meeting and then discuss the proposed amendments. Planning Commission will make a recommendation to Village Council to consider adopting the proposed changes. Village Council will have to approve an ordinance to finalize any amendments to the Zoning Code.
As a bit of background, each Chapter of the Zoning Code draft amendments have been presented to Planning Commission over the last several months. Questions, concerns, and issues have been addressed throughout this process. Also as part of the process, the Zoning Code Working Group offered interested property/business owners the opportunity to discuss their concerns about proposed amendments at their meetings. With the amount of discussion and availability interested parties have had during the process, I do expect Planning Commission within a few meetings but I don’t expect them to finalize their recommendation on August 27th. So I encourage you to offer your input as soon as possible. The Public Hearing is your opportunity to go on the record with your concerns, questions, and the like.
I do expect that the Planning Commission will consider input beyond the Public Hearing.
